Eli Gedalof
Mediator and Arbitrator, Toronto
Eli Gedalof is a mediator and arbitrator specializing in labour and employment disputes, including rights-based grievances, collective bargaining, interest arbitration, wrongful dismissal, and health and safety and human rights complaints and investigations. Eli brings a practical problem solving and interest-based approach to dispute resolution.
Prior to commencing work as a neutral, he was a partner in a leading Canadian labour law firm. He was appointed as a vice-chair on the Ontario Labour Relations Board in 2013. He is a graduate of McGill University and the University of Victoria Faculty of Law, and served as clerk to the Chief Justice of the Ontario Court of Appeal.
Eli is a member of the Ontario Labour-Management Arbitrators’ Association and the National Academy of Arbitrators. He was also an adjunct professor with the University of Toronto’s Centre for Industrial Relations, where he taught a graduate course in Labour Arbitration, and the long-time contributing editor for the leading text Ontario Labour Relations Board Law and Practice.
